Amazing, considering yesterday's epic fail at dinner time....
Breakfast: a Dukan galette with smoked mackerel and cottage cheese
Lunch: Bunless burger
Dinner: Chicken and 2 chips.
Evening snack: 2 crab sticks.
Let me explain. Stayed at mum and dad's for dinner and dad offerred to go to the chip shop to buy dinners. Usually this is a real treat. I ended up just having their southern fried chicken which was a cheat as it was fried and breaded. And 2 of Craig's chips. But at least I didn't have a portion of chips, so that made me happy. And full up.
I had been suffering all day with the temporary after effects of starting on the oat bran, used in the galette. Let's just say, many toilet visits. It goes away after a couple of days and I know it's essential to eat the oat bran in the attack phase for fibre.
No cravings today. A little bit of a head ache but am drinking lots of water - well over 2 l.
My BG levels are AMAZING. I even got down to 4.9 today. The fasting levels in the morning are still higher than the required 5.5 at around 9, but they are at least an improvement on 16.6 of previous weeks - and I feel SO much better.
I'm being careful to keep measuring my BG and have permission from the healthcare peeps to adjust my medication accordingly.
