31st August 2011 Attack Day 4

Breakfast: Egg and bacon

Well, looks like I guessed correctly that Iwouldn't lose any weight yesterday due to the emergency instant whip eating. Never mind.
I truly understand the craziness of weighing yourself every day anyway. It is recommended in Attack phase as it is so damn hard to be so strict with yourself and you NEED to see instant results to keep motivated.
But I'm happy - still have lost 1kg in a matter of days and I know that my body is moving more towards ketosis. I have Ketostix in the bathroom and carefully monitor to make sure that I only allow a positive test result with LOW BGs, otherwise I risk Ketoacidosis, which can be fatal. That's VERY important for any Diabetics reading this to know about. Don't go on a ketogenic diet if your BGs are very high and stay high.
Anyhoo. I know ketosis hasn't kicked in yet, but it will in a few days and then I really will be burning fat as fuel rather than carbs. Looking at the latest research on the 600Kcal diet, reduction of fat around the pancreas will seriously improve insulin resistance, which is a happy thought for all Type 2s, who are taught that they have a progressive disease which will only get worse and worse....
